Smyrna’s Newly Constructed Fire Station #2

This three million dollars, 9,000 square-foot project replaced the old fire station #2 built in 1948. After serving the community for over 40 years, with the community quickly growing and changing, the citizens decided that it was time for a new and improved fire station.

As we constructed this beautiful facility on this small site, we were faced with grade challenges and the task of working in proximity to busy Concord Road. The confined space required us to utilize our expertise in timing the delivery of materials while staging the construction of the site walls and earthwork.

Not only did we construct a facility that will aesthetically keep up with its fast-changing environment, we also built the interior featuring durable, time-tested materials. An important part of this project was making the station inviting to its crews which we did by expanding the kitchen and dining space allowing more room for tailored meal prep.

It’s an honor to share this project with you. I hope we have peaked your interest in BM&K and we would love the opportunity to show you what we can do in your community.
